Twilio Announces New Chief Product Officer

Life as a unicorn can be lonely, and not so easy. Maintaining a spot atop the mountain means staying ahead of the curve. It requires creating a roadmap that provides the market with a robust portfolio of future-forward and feature-rich portfolio. While technology is the star of the show, bright minds put the plans in place and pieces together.

Twilio announced that as of January 14th, Chee Chew will serve as the cloud communications company’s new Chief Product Officer. In joining the team, Chew will report directly to Twilio co-founder and CEO Jeff Lawson.

 He brings with him over 25 years of experience in tech, working for companies like Google, Microsoft and Amazon along the way. At Google, Chew can celebrate his success as VP of engineering, responsible for real-time communications solutions like Google Voice and Hangouts.  Before connecting with Twilio, Chew served as Amazon’s VP of customer engagement, responsible for the tech titan’s core shopping experience on mobile and web apps.

“Chee brings an incredibly unique combination of skills and experiences to Twilio — from running customer engagement for the world’s largest e-commerce company to leading the invention of Google Hangouts,” said Lawson. “Chee's leadership in building outstanding products, teams and companies will be a great addition to the Twilio executive team.”
