Intelsat Initiates Cloud Communications Migration

The cloud is signaling the cavalry charge, putting forth an assault on rigid, legacy, antiquated technology solutions yesteryear, seeking to offer a rein of future-forward, flexible, feature-rich and pocket-friendly solutions affecting the C-suite to the data center. It is the dawn of the cloud era.

Today, Intelsat announced the selection of RingCentral as its cloud communications and collaboration solutions provider to support its locations around the world. The satellite communications provider required a cloud-first solution, and can now offer employees messaging in addition to voice, video and web conferencing.

In specific, the global deployment provides support to all devices; integration into Salesforce and other leading cloud applications; RingCentral Glip (team messaging and collaboration); and open APIs that allow for customized business workflows.
